THE CENTRE DE SANTÉ DU PONTIAC UNDERLINES THE DEDICATION
OF THEIR VOLUNTEERS...
Tuesday, April 20th 2004, the Centre de santé du Pontiac had organized an activity at the Bryson Lions' Club to underline the dedication of their 170 volunteers involved in different missions. During the event, Mr. Richard Grimard, Executive Director, talked about the importance of the volunteers in order to fulfil the objectives of the establishment. Mrs. Anna Anderson, a volunteer and guest speaker, spoke about the challenge that await the volunteer in his involvement. Mr. Jean-Guy Patenaude, President of the Board of Directors, gave thanks to all our collaborators. Approximately 120 volunteers were present at the activity and received a token in recognition for their dedication. A lunch was served for the occasion.

Under the topic « The CHSLD, a story of family », the recreation service underlined the week by a meeting with the members of families, the nursing care personnel and the volunteers in our three establishment. A week which will point out the place of the CHSLD in the Health Network of the area and more particularly the beautiful daily work of the families near our elderly persons.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2003, the Pontiac Reception Centre underlined the exceptional work of its employees and the presence of the families, who often visit the other people.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2003, the Manoir Sacré Cœur had a good participation of volunteers and "Les Dames Auxiliaires", who are surely very important for our beneficiaries.
Finally, on Friday, May 9, 2003, the long term care held their meeting with the participation of the families, the personnel and the volunteers.
The Administration took advantage of this week to sincerely thank its personnel with baskets in the establishments.
With the same philosophy, which is to recreate bonds between the CHSLD, the families and the community, the recreation service prepares the story of the life for each beneficiary. The project consists in making a short summary for each one, who they are, their preferences, their habits. The participation of families and volunteers is really necessary.
Thank you for your implication and your patience !
