Diagnostics services

The diagnostics services are accessible to the whole population, and this in order to provide the treating physicians with the necessary tools allowing them to provide the best possible care to users.

  • Medical Biology, Radiology and Electro physiology) Specialized Services (Respiratory Therapy)
  • The diagnostics services are accessible to the whole population, and this in order to provide the treating physicians with the necessary tools allowing them to provide the best possible care to users.

laboratory department

  • Regular visits from the specialists consultants in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Haematology.
  • Implementation of a new computer system in biochemistry.
  • Replacement of the analyser by a more performing model.
  • Implementation of a back-up system in biochemistry.
  • Many technological changes have required technical updates in Biochemistry.
  • Regular participation to the Regional Transfusion Medicine Committee.

Radiology and Electrophysiology Services

  • Training of a technologist in Cardiac Echography.
  • Continuation of activities aiming at the Canadian agreement for our mammography department for the screening of breast cancer.
  • Elaboration of a Telemedicine project in rural areas.

Respiratory Therapy

  • The respiratory therapy services are accessible to the population from the Hospital Centre (emergency, intensive care, short term unit, operating room and pulmonary function) and teaching for asthmatics.
